Mrs. Speelman |
Ms. Biondo |
My name is Mrs. Speelman and teaching is my niche! I received my Bachelors degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and my Masters Degree from Loyola University in Maryland in Curriculum and Instruction with a science concentration. In 2011, I earned my G/T Certificate from Johns Hopkins University. As you can see, I love to learn! Ben Franklin once said, "The doors of wisdom are never shut." You are never to old to learn! My hobbies include hiking, bird watching, photography, reading, and spending time with my family. I love my job and the outdoors! I currently volunteer for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation as a mentor teacher. I truly believe my students can make a difference. We must provide them with the opportunity to explore their passions.

Welcome! I am so excited to meet all of the wonderful Hollifield Station families this year!
I have lived in Howard County my entire life. I finally decided to venture out of the area to attend Salisbury University, where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. Later I attended McDaniel College where I earned my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Recently I completed a graduate certificate for Academic Advising at Kansas State University. It was easy to return to my hometown to begin my teaching career because of the wonderful school system that developed my lifetime love of learning! When I’m not busy with school, I enjoy reading, cooking, sewing, do-it-yourself projects, and spending time with family and friends. In my spare time I have also developed a love for the outdoors. If it’s sunny, you can catch me outside gardening, running at the park, or traveling. You can contact me at [email protected]. |
